Warning: this post contains photographs that are inappropriate for young children and that many may find disturbing.
I don’t know about you, but I’m struggling to find the words to describe just how disturbing and wrong this is.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, our society is sliding at lightning speed down the slippery slope that is the widespread acceptance of homosexuality and gender confusion, and children are most certainly the biggest victims.
10-year-old “drag kid” Nemis Quinn Mélançon-Golden, whose stage name is Queen Lactacia, was featured in a photo spread for the subculture magazine Huck, and one particular photo that didn’t make it to publication is particularly disturbing.
In the photograph, young Nemis is pictured with the winner of RuPaul’s “Drag Race,” Violet Chachki. “Violet” is nearly fully nude, with his genitals strategically covered, and Nemis is laughing beside him.

Photographer Jonathan Frederick Turton shared the disturbing image to his Instagram account, but hit has since been removed.
Turton, according to his website, “is a multi-media content producer with specialisms in photography, videography and journalism.” He claims to have shot for mainstream outlets and businesses like the BBC, Adidas, Dazed and Confused Magazine, and The Discovery Channel.”
Nemis’ mother defends her child’s involvement in the very adult world of drag in the Huck piece, saying:
“Drag is an adult arena and that’s where people question our judgement,” concedes Jessica. “So we have to censor things. He knows there are adult aspects of drag that he’s not allowed to apply to his show.”
“We would never try to overtly sexualise our child. But if he wears something that makes him feel beautiful, what right do I have to stop him wearing that dress because it might cause people to think things they shouldn’t be thinking? It’s a circular problem.”
It’s not really a circular problem—involving your child in a world that is impossible to divorce with sexuality, a culture that is noted for its promotion of promiscuity, on top of the dangerous and unnatural lifestyle of homosexuality, first and foremost corrupts your child and leads him to believe that this is a healthy, perfectly acceptable lifestyle.
Lines inevitably become blurred between what’s appropriate for a child and what’s appropriate for an adult, and these “drag kids” are not just playing, they are being glorified by the world of drag and treated just like adult drag queens.
For example, just last month reported on “Desmond is Amazing,” the New York-based “drag kid” who danced around a stage at a bar while adult men threw dollars at him.
How, in any way, shape, or form, is that appropriate for a child to do? Male or female, drag or no?
There is no defending this type of behavior among parents, on whom their children rely to show them right from wrong, appropriate from inappropriate. Just because they’re cross-dressing does not in any way mean that they’re not being sexualized or objectified.
These children are being used as cheap props in the endless fight against all that is good, pure, and holy, and while it may be all some twisted ideological game for their parents, it will come at a huge cost to the children involved.
Please pray for these little boys.
