As business as usual grinds to a halt across America during the coronavirus pandemic, there is one business around much there has been much discussion as it pertains directly to the matter of life and death.
The business of abortion. While some clinics have closed under their respective state’s orders, other states have allowed for abortions to continue despite bans on elective surgeries.
Some pro-life groups are raising the alarm that we sadly may be able to expect an increase of abortions once the dust on this unprecedented crisis settles.
Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League, spoke to OneNewsNow about this potential increase in abortions:
“People are also going to the pharmacy for pregnancy tests right now and getting positive tests, after losing hours at work or after losing their jobs or just having uncertainty about the future,” he predicts. “And that’s going to tip the scales, for some people, in favor of getting an abortion.”
According to Scheidler, that has occurred previously during weakened economic times. Yet there is tremendous need for people to continue to support the increased demands on pro-life organizations to save those babies, he explains.
“So that means continuing to make contributions to pro-life organizations; [and] that means continuing the 40 Days for Life campaigns – and especially [continuing] sidewalk counseling,” he emphasizes. “I think we’re going to see a real uptick at the abortion facilities in about 4 to 6 weeks’ time as this abortion impact, that decision to consider abortion, begins to play out.”
In the meantime, Scheidler is calling on the Church as a whole to pray that women considering abortion will seek counsel to keep their babies, not terminate their lives. The coronavirus will eventually subside, he says – and America will get back to normal.
We must pray that this virus passes soon, but also pray for the protection of all the babies whose mothers may be inclined to seek an abortion thanks to difficult economic situations.
Don’t forget to pray for the pro-aborts on left, that they might see the life-saving light of the Lord Jesus and realize how tragic every single abortion truly is and that this institution of death will continue long after coronavirus is gone unless we put an end to it for good.

We must pray that this virus passes soon, in addition to praying to all the babies whose lives may be at risk due to despair and hopelessness in mothers during these strained times.
Don’t forget to pray for those who continue to defend abortion, that they might see the life-saving light of the Lord Jesus and realize how tragic every single abortion truly is and that this institution of death will continue long after coronavirus is gone unless we put an end to it for good.
