Action Needed! Help STOP the Release of This Pedophilia-Normalizing Film

You are probably aware by now that pedophilia is rampant in Hollywood, and this upcoming film from Sony pictures seeks to further normalize relationships between adults and underage children.

Call Me By Your Name follows the story of a 17-year-old boy living in Italy with his parents, who is seduced by and caught up in a relationship with a 24-year-old man.

This relationship would be considered illegal in the state of California, where the film was produced, and yet film critics seem to have no problem with a grown man having a sexual relationship with an underage teenager and rather praise the film for its “sensual” homosexual sex scenes.

Perhaps 17 doesn’t seem that young to be having a relationship with an older man. But does it really stop there? It’s only one year older than 16, two years older than 15, and on and on. Supporters of the film argue that in Italy, where it takes place, the age of consent is 14, but we are talking about a country that was lenient on honor killings until the 1970’s and whose former prime minister famously solicited an underage girl for prostitution.

CitizenGO and the Christian Film and Television Commission have put together a petition to stop Sony from releasing this film. As they write on their website, “Just last week in the United States, politician Anthony Weiner was sentenced to 21 months behind bars for virtual sexual contact with a 15-year-old. But apparently, Sony didn’t get the message that pedophilia is NEVER OKAY – regardless of whether it is consensual, homosexual, in a foreign country, etc . ”

The concept of an older, more seasoned man taking a younger man under his wing in a sexual relationship is nothing new, but it is a classic form of child abuse that has been condoned by various pagan cultures for centuries. This film seeks to glamorize and normalize a relationship that is unnatural and immoral.

Please join them in their fight to keep this perverse film out of American theatres! Sign their petition now and pass along to your friends and family. We must speak up for basic decency!
