Warning: this post contains highly disturbing content.
Just when you think this world can’t get any sicker, you come across something like this.
Brace yourself. This is truly awful.
According to The Sun Online, Amazon was just called out for selling pedophilia-promoting baby clothes and yes, you read that right.
The Sun reportedly found a pair of onesies for sale on the site printed with slogans like “Daddy’s little f**k toy” and “I just look illegal,” available in sizes from newborn up to 24 months.
On Amazon’s Canadian site, a retailer called VanBer offered similar baby clothes, including a onesie that reads, “Daddy’s little sl*t.”
I can’t even begin to find the words to describe how abhorrent and disgusting this is.
“It is outrageous that baby clothing with this language appears anywhere on the web let alone Amazon,” Marci Hamilton, CEO of Child USA, told The Sun. “It is the first time we have seen such wording aimed at pedophiles on clothing for babies.”
Hamilton, like the rest of us, is wondering what joke of a product approval process even allowed items like these to make it onto the retail giant’s digital shelves.
“It clearly should have been ringing alarm bells,” she said in her interview, adding that Amazon “clearly should have much better controls over products for children generally.”
This isn’t even the first time Amazon has been discovered to have somehow allowed pro-pedophilia material to find their way onto the site. Back in 2010, Amazon rightfully got slammed by the public when it was discovered that they were selling a book titled The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover’s Code of Conduct.
At first, Amazon defended the right to sell the book in a statement to TechCrunch: “Amazon.com does not support or promote hatred or criminal acts; we do support the right of every individual to make their own purchasing decisions. Amazon.com believes it is censorship not to sell certain titles because we believe their message is objectionable.”
If you ask me, allowing a “guide” for child abusers to get tips and tricks to be sold in your store is tantamount to knowing your neighbor is molesting kids in the house next door, shrugging your shoulders, and saying, “hey, that’s his right.”
Nobody with even the slightest sense of decency would even think of doing such a thing, so why would Amazon be hesitant to drop this book?
As for the onesies, it seems Amazon has finally gotten their act together.
“All marketplace sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who don’t will be subject to action including potential removal of their account,” an Amazon spokesman said. “The product in question is no longer available.”
What’s worse, I wonder? When these sick perverts use fluffy-sounding euphemisms to disguise their vile acts as a legitimate sexual orientation like with The Pedophile’s Guide, or when they’re just bold and brazen about how they view children as with the onesies?
Perhaps the greatest injustice of all is that the worst punishment these perverts will receive, at least in this life, is having their items removed from Amazon’s marketplace. If the world will not serve justice to child abusers, we know God will.
