“Arthur” Teacher Mr. Ratburn Marries Another Man in Premiere Episode

It’s becoming nearly impossible to trust any children’s entertainment these days, with the pervasive themes of gender confusion and alternative sexual lifestyles wherever you look. It’s become vogue to set your show apart with the introduction of a gay character or gay kiss…even on shows for very young children.

The latest in the LGBT takeover of a children’s show takes place on the classic program, Arthur.  In the premiere episode of the show’s 22nd season, titled “Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone,” Arthur’s teacher, Mr. Ratburn, gets married…to another man.

Well, another male animal to be exact, adding an extra degree of weirdness to this already entirely unnecessary plotline.

In the episode,  Arthur and his friends find out that their beloved teacher is engaged.  This is surprising to them as they don’t believe teachers have personal lives.  In one scene Buster explains that “when they go home, they sharpen pencils, eat kale and dream up homework assignments.” He goes on to say, “They don’t even sleep! They just go into low-power mode and watch documentaries.”

Cute.

As the episode unfolds, the gang spot Mr. Ratburn having lunch with a woman who seems to be extremely unpleasant and uptight.  It’s worth noting that the woman is voiced by Jane Lynch, a well-known lesbian and LGBT activist who is married to a woman. Arthur and his friends decide they just can’t allow Mr. Ratburn to marry this woman.  She would just make him too miserable and then he would make them miserable. What an unfortunate series of events that would be!

They hatch a plan to show up at the wedding and express their objections in the hopes that Mr. Ratburn would be reasonable enough to call the whole thing off.  Instead, what they discover is that the woman is Mr. Ratburn’s sister and she was only trying to make sure his big day went off without a hitch.

Shortly after this revelation, Mr. Ratburn and another male character come gleefully walking down the aisle, arm-in-arm.  The scene then cuts to the wedding reception where the animal children giggle and make fun of Mr. Ratburn and his new “husband” dancing.

And there you go. Happily ever after.

This is not the first time the show Arthur has pushed the LGBT agenda.  In 2005, the show aired an episode called, “Postcards from Buster,” in which the titular character visits Vermont to learn about the maple syrup production process.  While he is there, he meets a few children who have lesbian moms. The word “lesbian” is not used in the episode just like the word “gay” is not used in the wedding episode.  There is not any actual explanation in either episode, just extremely suggestive imagery that is impossible to misinterpret.

Flying just low enough under the radar that most parents won’t find it worth standing up against, but evident enough to leave an impression on children.

Make no mistake, this is not an innocent attempt to promote love and acceptance.  This is blatant indoctrination aimed to break down our children’s developing moral foundations.

We as Christians can fight this assault on our children’s minds by sharing the real story of love and acceptance of Jesus Christ.  The only way we will reclaim morality in our society is by sharing the truth of the Gospel in hopes that people will come to see the error in their ways and turn away from their sins, one person at a time.

In the meantime, turn off the TV and guard your children’s hearts against this madness!
