Biden Panders to Muslims at Extremist-Linked Online Summit, Vows to End Nonexistent “Muslim Ban”

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has extended his hand to potential voters within the Muslim community, reverently quoting the religion’s slave-owning founder and vowing to end President Trump’s inaccurately-labeled “Muslim ban” on international travel.

According to the Associated Press, Biden made his remarks at the virtual “Million Muslim Votes Summit,” an event hosted by Emgage Action, America’s largest Muslim-American PAC. The Million Muslim Votes campaign, seeking to usher in a tidal wave of new Muslim voters, was launched by Emgage, the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and other Muslim advocacy groups. In attendance at the online event, among others, was Linda Sarsour, a recently-ousted Women’s March organizer infamous for declaring jihad, which she claims was non-violent, on President Trump.

Biden also claimed that Trump’s presidency has seen an “unconscionable” rise in “Islamic phobia.”

One way to counter that, he says, is to ramp up teaching about Islam in American schools.

“Look, one of the things I think is important… I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith,” Biden said upon joining the video conference, according to a transcript from Rev. “I wish we talked about all the great confessional faiths. It’s one of the great confessional faiths. What people don’t realize is… One of my advocation [sic] is theology. Don’t realize is that we all come from the same root here in terms of our fundamental, basic beliefs.”

Biden’s attention then turned to President Trump.

“Muslim communities are the first to field Donald Trump’s assault on black and brown communities in this country with his vile Muslim ban,” Biden claimed, referring to the Trump administration’s temporary travel ban that targeted 7 Muslim-majority countries while leaving travelers from 44 other Muslim-majority nations unaffected. “That fight was the opening barrage in what has been nearly four years of constant pressure, and insults, and attacks against Muslim American communities, Latino communities, black communities, AAPI communities, Native Americans. Now Donald Trump has fanned the flames of hate in this country across the board through his words, his policies, his appointments, his deeds, and he continues to fan those flames.”

“If I have the honor of being president, I will end the Muslim ban on Day One,” Biden declared during the summit, failing to note that he and President Barack Obama placed similar travel restrictions on the same seven countries back in 2015.

“Hadith from the Prophet Muhammad instructs, ‘Whomever among you sees a wrong, let him change it with his hand,” Biden concuded, quoting Muhammad, who himself owned slaves. “If he is not able, then with his tongue. If he is not able, then with his heart.'”
