A Nonprofit Named “Charitable Humans” Said This About Red States

As the devastation caused by Harvey continues to unfold in the great state of Texas, we’ve been able to take a small sense of solace in some of the amazing examples of the American spirit that have been on full display.

We’ve seen neighbors helping neighbors, strangers jumping in to help in any way they can, and a sincere sense of coming together to survive and get through an unfathomable natural disaster.

A number of organizations have hopped in to do their thing as well, but it appears that not every charitable organization is in a giving mood since the state of Texas is involved.

What? How could that possibly be? If your entire organization revolves around charity, how can you possibly refuse to lend a hand at a time like this? Read on for the revolting answer.

As Breitbart shares, “Charitable Humans, self-described on LinkedIn as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization “dedicated to changing the world for the betterment of all living beings on planet Earth” has deleted its social media accounts after stating it would not help “any red state.”’

Surely this has to be the actions of a rogue employee that’s not representative of the organization as a whole, right?

“Let them clean up their own mess,” read one tweet, while another exclaimed “Any state that elects a Republican needs to be incinerated, there have to be severe consequences,” according to Breitbart.

Breitbart Texas reached out to the organization and was brushed off. Charitable Humans has gone dark on social media and taken down its Twitter account, but an apology page on its website has an excessive amount of verbiage that blames what “our Social Media Coordinator unleashed.”

Assuming that’s the case, the social media coordinator is an appalling human being, as demonstrated by these other posts shared by Breitbart.

“It’s not wise to be generous to sociopaths that will never return it in-kind. Red states screwed themselves,” reads one post.

“Why? They have God and the Republican party to help them. Red states hate handouts, let’s not offend them,” reads another.
How could anyone possible be so callous when we’re talking about a disaster of historic proportions?

If there’s anyone with a soul at Charitable Humans, we would expect this disgraceful display to be immediately rectified. Save the lengthy apologies – get to work and justify your existence.
