Last weekend, Chick-fil-A donated one thousand much-appreciated meals to staff battling COVID-19 at a Vancouver, Washington hospital.
While it has been suggested by folks like Ben Shapiro to help keep temporarily shuttered local businesses afloat by “tiding them over” with purchases of gift cards, many other businesses have readily adapted their model to offer deliveries, pickups, and more.
Chick-fil-A and other restaurants have risen to the occasion in this respect, having closed down their dining rooms in favor of drive-thru service.
On Saturday, however, the Chick-fil-A in Cascade Park went above and beyond simply making their business more conducive to recommended “social distancing.”
“We are so grateful to John Dombroski and his team at Chick-fil-A Cascade Park in Vancouver for delivering and serving 1,000 meals to our hard-working caregivers today,” reads a Facebook post by PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. “Your kindness in a tough time is appreciated more than you can know.”
“Today, we were truly honored to partner with PeaceHealth Southwest to serve their fantastic team,” the restaurant said, sharing the original post.
As an interesting side note, the PeaceHealth Medical Center does not perform or give referrals for abortions, unlike many hospitals, so it is definitely appreciated that this kind gesture did not indirectly support the taking of innocent life.
Regardless of anyone’s stance on the coronavirus pandemic and its myriad implications, or our own stance on recent criticism of Chick-fil-A’s donations to organizations controversial to their once loyal Christian customer base, it is incredibly heartening to see members of communities worldwide linking arms in the name of preserving life.
If you appreciate the work we are doing to fight the leftist assault on our values, please consider a small donation to help us continue. Thank you so much!
