Dating Site Partners With Planned Parenthood So Users Can Find Abortion-Friendly Hookups

The dating site OKCupid is now partnering with Planned Parenthood to help users find abortion-friendly dating prospects who support the national franchise of abortion mills.

OKCupid announced via Twitter this week that because they noticed so much talk about the federal funding of Planned Parenthood in their community (because how else does one set a romantic mood without discussing federal funding for clinics that perform a practice that should be outright illegal to begin with?), they are now “awarding” their users with a badge that reads #IStandWithPP if they answer ‘no’ to the question ‘Should the government defund Planned Parenthood?’

CEO of OKCupid said her company was “really exciting because it enables us to help people connect on the issues that matter to them.”

“In this current climate, this matters more than ever when it comes to finding ‘your person,’” she explained. “We know that Planned Parenthood is driving conversations, support and education that millions care about. When we looked at the data, we saw that our community on OkCupid was talking about Planned Parenthood…so we decided to make it easy to find the folks who cared about the same thing.”

Dawn Laguens, the Executive Vice President of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, says that allowing OKCupid users to find out their position on the controversial issue of Planned Parenthood funding is not only important, it’s apparently attractive.

“Knowing your prospective date supports equal rights, access to reproductive health care and the best, evidence-based sex education is undeniably sexy, and OkCupid’s new Planned Parenthood badge will let users see that immediately,” she said. “At Planned Parenthood, we are continually looking for innovative approaches to get people the information and care they need to lead healthy lives and achieve their goals – whether that’s on their phones or in a health center.”

As tragic as it is that so many young women looking for love feel so strongly about supporting an organization as evil as Planned Parenthood that they want to make sure prospective dates share their ideology, it does make sense that a dating site would provide this service.

This isn’t just about ideology, however. They can pontificate all they want about the federal funding that goes to all the health care Planned Parenthood supposedly provides beyond abortions (which they don’t), at the end of the day, for a site that is used by many to find random hookups and casual sex, there is no doubt this option is largely attractive for the insurance that your partner is OK with abortion.

At the end of the day, this is simply how far our culture has fallen. Not only are millennials abandoning monogamy and never even considered abstinence, they are now looking for partners based on their willingness to support an abortion mill.

It doesn’t take any stretch of the imagination to think what would happen if any of these dates or hookups that resulted in the common ideological ground of supporting Planned Parenthood resulted in an unwanted pregnancy.

Because that’s the bottom line here: for Planned Parenthood, this only serves to provide them with more business. And that’s just sick.
