Delaware Will Soon Ban Parents From Determining Child’s Gender, Race

Liberals have a dream: to completely eliminate parental authority and let the state raise children up into uniformly brainwashed, genderless, leftist cadets.

The state of Delaware will soon be taking one giant leap in the direction of fulfilling this dream if proposed regulation is passed to let students decide their own gender and race.

Let’s take a step back for a moment and consider what this means. We have to continue to marvel at this insanity, even though it is 2017. We can’t let go of our common sense and get used to this garbage.

OK, deep breath.

The state of Delaware is seriously considering law that would legally recognize children as a gender or ethnicity of their choice despite the biological impossibility that this could ever be true.

Take a moment to let that really sink in.

We are truly living in a backwards world, to say the very least.

At any rate, yes, this is a real thing, and yes, it is absolutely horrifying to consider.

The proposed regulations are called “Regulation 225 Prohibition of Discrimination” and states that “All students enrolled in a Delaware public school may self-identify gender or race.”

Todd Starnes explains:

The state educators use a term called “Protected Characteristics” to describe race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity and other characteristics protected by state or federal law.

And the proposed regulation should scare the living daylights out of every mom and dad in the state. It clearly states school leaders would not necessarily be required to notify parents if Billy suddenly decides to identify as Sally.

He is right, the document reads: “Prior to requesting permission from a parent or legal guardian, the school should consult and work closely with the student to assess the degree to which, if any, the parent or legal guardian is aware of the Protected Characteristic and is supportive of the student, and the school shall take into consideration the safety, health and well-being of the student in deciding whether to request permission from the parent or legal guardian” (section 7.4.1).

“I’m outraged,” says Nicole Theis, president of the Delaware Family Policy Council. “Every parent should be outraged by this.”

The Delaware Family Policy Council, Starnes says, is leading the fight against this atrocious regulation. They are rallying parents around the state of Delaware to put their foot down and fight the Department of Education.

“Literally, if a parent affirms their child’s biological sex, and now race, they are positioned as discriminatory through policies like Regulation 225,” Theis explains. “These policies are setting parents up as a ‘non-ally’ and unsupportive, even abusive, if they affirm their child’s biological realities and work through confusion versus embracing it.”

“This is a 5-alarm alert for parents,” she added. “The effects of the deliberate conditioning of children as early as pre-school into believing they can deny biological facts and realities and identify as whatever gender or race they feel, and to what end?”

To what end indeed?

This is an absolutely abhorrent move by the Delaware Department of Education, and it must be stopped.

Please voice your objection to such dangerous regulations and sign the Delaware Family Policy Council’s petition to STOP Regulaion 255!!!
