Elementary School Teacher Suspended for Inappropriate Discussion of Sexual Orientation, Cries Discrimination

Despite the fact that the United States is by far the most friendly nation towards LGBT, etc. causes, the left is always on the prowl for any scrap of evidence that we, in fact, live in a brutal anti-LGBT dictatorship that punishes homosexuals, minorities, and women, just for being different (you know, like a Muslim country or something).

So, when a popular Texas elementary school teacher was suspended following her request to incorporate more LGBT “language” into the district policy, the community, and subsequently the media, naturally assumed it was because of her request.

Then, when it was revealed by the district that it was because she had discussed her sexual orientation with her students, she became an overnight martyr, as in the eyes of the left the Mansfield, Texas school district where she taught had suspended her….gasp!…because she was gay.

Of course, if she had been a he discussing his attraction to women, it would be a regular old #MeToo moment to the left, but because this woman is gay, she gets an instant pass, even if she was discussing entirely inappropriate topics in the classroom.

While the teacher, Stacy Bailey, is claiming via her lawyer (as reported by The Dallas News) that she only discussed her family, which included her “wife”, and believes her suspension was due to her request to chance school district language regarding LGBT people, the school district says otherwise.

In a statement they gave on Miss Bailey’s suspension, they explain that she “insists that it is her right and that it is age appropriate for her to have ongoing discussions with elementary-aged students about her own sexual orientation, the sexual orientation of artists, and their relationships with other gay artists.”

They also note that the school district, Mansfield ISD, already has sufficient policies to protect LGBT teachers and students from unfair discrimination, as it “prohibits discrimination, including harassment, against any employee on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability or any other basis prohibited by law. In other words, Mansfield ISD does not condone harassment or discrimination of any kind toward anyone.”

Here’s the thing. It is entirely inappropriate for her to discuss her sexual orientation or the sexual relationships of artists with her students, particularly because she is an elementary school teacher.

The left seems determined to utterly pervert everything about childhood through the public school system, but in reality, it is absolutely suitable to place a teacher on administrative leave for failing to simply adhere to common sense, age-appropriate conversation for the classroom.

This is the slippery slope condoning LGBT relationships has led us down, and we are slipping fast!
