A 10th grade AP government teacher from Sacramento, California has admitted in an undercover video that he has an Antifa flag hanging in his classroom, posts Antifa events for his students, and offers extra credit to those who attend rallies.

In the video, captured by guerilla journalists Project Veritas, the teacher admitted to being “as far-left as you can get” and on the “front lines” of Antifa, the nebulous far-left activist group that has grown notorious for its violent clashes with police or right-wing activist groups in cities up and down the West Coast.

Gabriel Gipe, a teacher at Inderkum High School in the Natomas Unified School District, also said in the video, “I have 180 days to turn them into revolutionaries.”

“[I] scare the f*** out of them,” he also said.

“I post a calendar [of Antifa events] every week. And so like I do it for extra credit. So, [students] get points for doing it. Like and so, that encourages them to do it. And I’ve had students show up for protests, community events, tabling, food distribution. All sorts of things,” Gipe told Project Veritas’ journalist.

He explained that while “Sacramento, as a city itself, is incredibly diverse,” that “we’re surrounded by a bunch of right-wing rednecks.”

“I’m probably as far-left as you can go. So, like, I’ve gone down deep dark rabbit holes where like the idea of adventurism and just being like, ‘Why aren’t people taking up arms?’ Like why can’t we, you know — Taking up arms, like, against the state,” he declared in the video.

He also admitted that students had complained about his Antifa flag because it makes them uncomfortable.

“Like, I have an Antifa flag on my wall. And a student complained about that, and he said it made him feel uncomfortable … Well, this is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable. I don’t really know what to tell you. Maybe you shouldn’t be aligning with the values that this is antithetical to,” he said.

Gipe also said he surveys his students’ ideology and tracks their political alignment on a chart, as students of younger children might chart behavior, bragging that they align more left as the school year goes on.

“So, [the students] take an ideology quiz in their unit four and I put their face, they have to give me a picture of themselves, and I put it on the wall, where they are. Every year, they get further and further left,” he explained.

The school district told Fox News in a statement that the “matter” is under investigation and vowed to “look into this matter and take any appropriate actions as necessary.”

“District policy explicitly states, ‘Whenever civic education includes topics that may be controversial due to political beliefs or other influences, instruction shall be presented in a balanced manner that does not promote any particular viewpoint.’ This is always the expectation,” the statement also read.

This comes on the heels of a viral video from a Southern California teacher who bragged on TikTok that she had packed away her classroom’s American flag and, when asked by students where to look during the pledge of allegiance, suggested they pledge allegiance to the LGBT flag.

That teacher has since been placed on paid administrative leave.
