FBI Human Trafficking Sting Busts Attempted Sale of 3-Month-Old and 5-Year-Old

There is a massive human rights crisis happening the world over that liberals, for all their pontificating about social justice, rarely seem to speak on: human trafficking.

Human trafficking is a global problem but it is hardly exclusive to impoverished nations. The illegal trade of human slaves is happening right under our noses here at home.

The FBI recently concluded an annual massive trafficking sting, Operation Cross County XI, Fox News reports, in which they rescued 84 victims and arrested 120 traffickers.

While the average age of the rescued victims was 15, the youngest recovered was a mere three months old. The infant was being sold along with her 5-year-old sister for $600 dollars by a friend who was staying with the girls’ family. The man happened to offer the children to an undercover FBI agent.

It is absolutely sickening to think of what use human traffickers might have had for a baby and a little girl. Our world is full of very depraved people who need Jesus–and to face justice.

“Unfortunately, the number of traffickers arrested—and the number of children recovered—reinforces why we need to continue to do this important work,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray in a statement.

In 2015, the FBI said that while they were able to rescue 600 children from human trafficking that year, the estimated that tens of thousands more children were still being sexually exploited.

“The level of pedophilia is just unprecedented right now,” said the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division Joseph Campbell at the time. “We have so many cases constantly of individuals in all walks of life, from the very wealthy … to all other levels engaged in child pornography, child exploitation … it just seems to be almost an at epidemic level.”

We live in incredibly dark times, but we must shine the light on this gruesome crisis!
