True to form, Twitter suspended the account of a conservative user last week after a tweet mocking Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Twitter banning and suspending its conservative users has happened so many times, we’ve lost count.
This time, however, Twitter’s censorious antics caught the attention of a Trump-appointed commissioner for the Federal Communications Commission.
“Hard to see how this @ComfortablySmug tweet – which combined known examples of political satire – violated Twitter’s rules against abuse and harassment,” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said in a tweet on Tuesday.
Carr referred to Comfortably Smug, a popular anonymous conservative troll account, who was suspending after tweeting, “Where’s Hunter, Fat?”
“Hard to see how this @ComfortablySmug tweet – which combined known examples of political satire – violated Twitter’s rules against abuse and harassment,” Carr tweeted.

As Carr points out, the tweet makes two fairly common satirical references to a pair of controversies in Camp Biden: his degenerate son Hunter, and an incident in which the former vice president called a voter “fat” and “sedentary” at a campaign event in Iowa.
Shortly after Carr spoke up, Comfortably Smug’s account was reinstated. If only every conservative deplatformed by leftist Big Tech got such instant justice!
According to The Washington Examiner, a spokesperson for the account said that the suspension came after Democrats “systemically” targeted it in reports.
“We call on the Democrats to stop this targeted harassment and for Twitter to investigate this abuse of their reporting process to silence critics,” the spokesperson said.
Twitter hasn’t slowed down its campaign of silencing conservative dissenters. Heavy hitters like LifeSiteNews, Fox’s Pete Hegseth, and more have had their accounts locked for far less antagonistic statements than Comfortably Smug’s.
The platform is especially merciless when punishing users for “misgendering” transgender people, yet it apparently has no problem with open discussion of pedophilia.
How very telling.
