Federal Government Awards $138K to Study Gender Identity of Kindergarteners


The federal government has awarded a grant to the University of Washington to study the “internal sense of gender identity” of children between the ages of 4 and 6, the Christian Post reports. 

The National Science Foundation, which as the Christian Post points out in its report, was founded in 1950 “to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare,” is giving the $138,000 grant to a project that “will involve asking 250, 4- to 6-year olds and their parents to complete a battery of measures assessing early and current gender socialization, children’s internal sense of gender identity, children’s gendered behavior.”

In short, a branch of the federal government that was established to promote the advance of science for the sake of our welfare is now forking over money to attempt to prove the tired SJW line that “gender is a social construct.”

Let that sink in.

As the abstract of the study explains, “Prominent theories of gender development have discussed the degree to which gender identity results from an internal sense of gender and socialization processes.”

“However,” it continues, “tests of these theories have been limited because, for most children, internal gender identity and environmental socialization substantially overlap rendering it impossible to distinguish the relative impact of each factor on gender development.”

Again, this is pretty much a fancy way of saying “science is a social construct.”

“Therefore,” the abstract goes on, “this project will provide a critical test of extant theory by examining gender development among children with atypical patterns of gender development. Specifically, this grant supports the investigation of whether established theories (e.g., Social Learning Theory, Social Cognitive Theory, Gender Schema Theory) can account for a wider range of human gender experiences,” (emphasis added).

This study comes in the midst of some truly frightening times for transgenderism and children, as gender confusion among children is skyrocketing, parents attempt to raise “genderless” children, Kindergarten teachers hold “transition” ceremonies for students without the consent of the parents, and little boys receive disciplinary action for “misgendering” fellow students.

This is the same University of Washington that was recently locked in a fierce legal battle with the Center for Medical Progress’ David Daleiden, the producer of the infamous Planned Parenthood undercover tapes.

Daleiden had exposed the University’s procurement, possession, and use of aborted fetal tissue for research, and the University sued to have the information redacted from the public record for fear of “harassment”. An appeals court sided with Daleiden.

As for this kindergarten gender identity study, one would hope it would be unbiased enough to prove what sensible people everywhere can tell you: that gender is biological, not cultural. In this day and age, however, it’s hard to imagine the study won’t attempt to prove the opposite.

And it’s all being funded with your tax dollars.
