This is what happens when you bow to the will of the gun-grabbing propaganda.
David Hogg is just a kid, but whoever taught him to pontificate and propagandize the way he did for the insufferable months following the Parkland shooting in which we were nearly daily treated to his misleading rhetoric and ignorance-based gun control agenda knew exactly what they were doing.
He was just a fresh face for an old argument, that the gun-grabbing elite have been trying to rebrand for years. The reason they keep trying it is they’re determined to limit the Second Amendment rights of millions of law-abiding Americans. The reason they keep rebranding it is its always proven to, at the end of the day, only serve to limit the Second Amendment rights of millions of law-abiding Americans.
So when they swear that they’re “not after your guns” just remember this: they’re after your guns. And that’s exactly what happened in Florida following RINO Governor Rick Scott’s gun control bill, which has now resulted in gun confiscations from hundreds of Florida residents.
Breitbart has the story:
The firearms from over 450 Floridians have been seized under gun controls Gov. Rick Scott (R) signed into place following the February 14, 2018, Parkland high school shooting.
On March 9, 2018, Breitbart News reported that Scott signed a $400 million gun control bill, which included confiscation of firearms and waiting periods for long gun purchases. The confiscatory portion of the bill was presented as a way to prevent another Parkland-style shooting, but such a law already existed in California where high profile shootings remain a common occurance.
Moreover, Maryland has such a law and that did not prevent the June 28, 2018, attack on the Capital Gazette. The gunman in that attack used a legally purchased shotgun to kill five people.
Nevertheless, the firearms of over 450 Floridians have been confiscated under Scott’s gun controls.
ABC Action News reports Pinellas County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Schmittendorf says their office alone has “taken in about 200 firearms and around 30,000 rounds of ammunition.”
Attorney Kendra Parris spoke out against the law and the subsequent confiscations, saying, “I think we’re doing this because it makes us feel safer.”
When asked what is wrong with doing something to feel safer Parris replied, “It violates the constitution.”
At the end of the day, we need to test any proposed gun laws against the Constitution. Liberty doesn’t always “feel” safe, but what’s actually unsafe is when only the government and criminals have guns.
