Last week, President Joe Biden stunned conservative Americans with a fiery speech declaring the “MAGA Republicans” to be “extremists” who pose a “threat” to our republic.
The speech was met with mixed reactions at best, with even some Democrats criticizing the full-throated political message, just months ahead of the November midterm election, which was given under the guise of a unifying, non-political message, as LifeNews noted.
Of particular note was the fact that he gave the speech in front of a rather ominous, darkly-lit background, flanked on either side by U.S. Marines.
Whatever you think of this speech the military is supposed to be apolitical. Positioning Marines in uniform behind President Biden for a political speech flies in the face of that. It’s wrong when Democrats do it. It’s wrong when Republicans do it.

While the president named his predecessor President Donald Trump and his supporters, his description of what the “MAGA Republicans” want for the country includes taking “this country backwards,” to “an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.”
Pro-life Americans, many of whom wouldn’t consider themselves to be “MAGA Republicans,” were horrified to discover their views on the sanctity of life as “extreme.”
As LifeNews pointed out, this characterization is especially offensive considering that Biden, a professing Catholic, has expressed support for abortion up until birth.
What’s more as RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel pointed out, pro-abortion Democrats like Biden have been shockingly mute as abortion extremists target pro-life pregnancy centers that cater to women who choose life for their babies, even when abortion is otherwise available.
“Joe Biden’s wretched attacks on millions of Americans have fueled attacks on pregnancy centers, Republican offices, and an assassination attempt on a Supreme Court justice,” she said, accusing Biden of embodying the Democrat’s “divisiveness, disgust, and hostility towards half the country.”
