Judge on Planned Parenthood Baby Parts Case Has Close Ties to Abortion Chain

The Ninth circuit court of appeals has decided to allow a judge with highly concerning conflicts of interest to continue to hear David Daleiden’s ongoing battle with Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation, Life Site News reports.

Although the Thomas More Society, who is representing Daleiden, petitioned to have Judge William Orrick removed from the case due to his close ties to the abortion chain, the court rejected their request.

“You’ll recall that Judge Orrick has close ties to Planned Parenthood and his wife is an outspoken abortion activist,” Thomas More president and chief counsel Tom Brejcha wrote in a statement. “This is another frustrating setback for David – especially after just last month the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear our appeal of the ‘gag order’ injunction Judge Orrick hit David with at the request of the National Abortion Federation.”

The Center for Medical Progress, Daleiden’s organization, and the Thomas More Society have good reason to be concerned.

Judge Orrick once served on the board of the San Francisco non-profit Good Samaritan Family Resource Center, which lists Planned Parenthood as a “key partnership, which Thomas More is saying that was never disclosed to them. They also have pointed to Orrick’s wife’s open support of abortion and Planned Parenthood on Facebook, including her use of the “I stand with Planned Parenthood” profile filters.

Daleiden also said in December that Orrick and his wife worked to get a Planned Parenthood facility in the Good Samaritan Family Resource Center headquarters, which just so happens to be one of the plaintiffs against Daleiden.

“Basically all of Planned Parenthood’s advantages or any victories that they’ve had so far in the past three-and-a-half years are just based on rigging the system,” Daleiden explained, saying that the petition “is our effort to unrig the system.”

In light of the rejection, Brejcha said that while “it looks like we’re going to trial in Judge Orrick’s courtroom,” the Thomas More Society would “fight even harder to clear David’s name so he can release the videos from his undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood.”

It is almost inconceivable to imagine just how corrupt the Ninth Circuit must be to allow this man to oversee a case in which he has such blatant conflicts of interest. He has already exhibited a serious bias in the courtroom, blocking Daleiden from sharing any more of his footage last year and then subsequently fining him and his defense $200,000 for sharing a few short minutes of footage.

This case is so vitally important to the future of abortion in our country, we must cover Daleiden and the Thomas More Society in prayer as they stand up to the Goliath judge, court, and abortion chain that are so determined to perpetuate the murder of millions.
