Keith Olbermann, a veteran liberal pundit and ex-MSNBC anchor, went far off the rails in a YouTube rant last week, declaring that “terrorist Trump” and supporters such as Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett must be “prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society.”
In his 14-minute rant, Olbermann stated that the FBI should identify Trump as an “unindicted co-conspirator” of the recent plot by an anti-government militia to kidnap Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Olbermann also warned that Trump would reject the results of the 2020 presidential election.
“He, and his enablers, and his supporters, and his collaborators, and the Mike Lees and the William Barrs … and the Mike Pences, and the Rudy Giulianis and the Kyle Rittenhouses and the Amy Coney Barretts must be prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society while we try to rebuild it and to rebuild the world Trump has destroyed by turning it over to a virus,” Olbermann raved.
Olbermann did not take a moment to explain why Amy Coney Barrett in particular, who top Republicans in Congress have vowed to confirm to the Supreme Court, should be prosecuted.
“Remember it, even as we dream of a return to reality and safety and the country for which our forefathers died that the fight is not just to win an election, but to win it by enough to chase, at least for a moment, Trump and the maggots off the stage and then try to clean up what they left,” Olbermann went on.
Olbermann’s explosive rant follows his announcement last week that he would be ditching an ESPN deal in order to resume political commentary.
“I’ll be doing a new, live daily commentary series with YouTube, focused on the presidential election called, ‘The Worst Person in the World,’” Olbermann said. “You didn’t really think I was going to sit out this election, did you?”
