Late-Term Abortion Specialist Offers Parents Photography And Cuddling Of Their Aborted Baby

A gut-wrenching pamphlet has surfaced from the practice of Dr. LeRoy Carhart, a notorious late-term abortionist, offering his patients services after “delivery” including holding their babies, taking keepsake photos of them, and “spiritual and ceremonial accommodations.”

“Many patients request a remembrance of their baby to take home with them,” the flyer states.

“Once the process of healing has begun, you may want to consider a token of the precious time with you and your baby had together,” it continues, before offering several post-abortion services available via the Carhart staff:

  •  Viewing your baby after the delivery
  •  Holding your baby after the delivery
  •  Photographs of your baby
  •  Cremation services referral
  •  Funeral arrangements referral
  •  Footprints
  •  Spiritual and ceremonial accommodations
  •  Remembrance certificate

LifeSiteNews also reportedly reached out to the clinic to find out what percentage of its patients choose these services, especially cremation or funeral services, but did not receive a response.

The brochure, which speaks with a saccharine-sweet tone toward parents who choose to end the lives of their babies in the second or third trimesters, states that Dr. Carhart’s Wildwood Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland has been “caring for women with Kindness, Courtesy, Justice, Love & Respect for over 45 years.”

Where is the kindness, courtesy, love, respect, and, most of all, the justice Dr. Carhart, his staff, and his patients are showing toward the children they are poisoning and dismembering to death?

Dr. Carhart’s brazen reference to the children he kills as children (versus “products of conception” or “clumps of cells,” for example) is quite consistent with a rather telling BBC interview of his.

“I think that it is a baby, and I use (the word) with patients,” Carhart said in the interview, according to LifeSiteNews. “And you don’t have a problem … with … killing a baby?” the reporter asked, utterly shocked.

“I have no problem if it’s in the mother’s uterus,” he replied.

Well, there you have it. As long as a child of any gestational age is tucked away out of sight in its mother’s womb, what should be the absolute safest place on earth for him or her, they’re perfectly fair game for Dr. Carhart’s forceps.

The single greatest tragedy of this situation is that parents served by Dr. Carhart, for whatever reason, truly believe that their babies are better off dead. They don’t see late-term abortion as abortion, let alone murder—they see it as euthanasia, as a kindness being done to the child.

We must weep, as our Lord surely weeps, for having fallen so far as a society.
