Leftists March On Washington, D.C. To “Confront White Supremacy”

Today, while most Americans with jobs are peacefully going about their lives, a coterie of far-left activists will embark on a rather ambitious social justice project to combat their newest boogieman.

“The March to Confront White Supremacy” began a 10-day, 112-mile trek today, from Charlottesville, VA to Washington D.C. where they claim they will then “occupy” the nation’s capital with “non-violent demonstrations” and civil disobedience.

The organization’s website reads, “For years, white supremacist violence, rhetoric, and policies have escalated and intensified – exploding during Donald Trump’s run for president and reaching a boiling point in Charlottesville.”

Among their demands is that President Trump be removed from office for “allying himself with this ideology of hate and we demand an agenda that repairs the damage it’s done to our country and its people.”

The site is rather vague on exactly what that “agenda” should entail, but it’s not hard to imagine. The consortium is comprised of the usual suspects of far-left and communist groups like Action Group Network, The Center for Popular Democracy, The People’s Consortium and Resist Here among others.

The organizers claim the march is going to be nonviolent and also say they will hold “daily nonviolent direct action trainings” for participants risking arrest by engaging in civil disobedience.

One wonders why the organizers feel they need to train their participants to act nonviolently. Time will tell just how non-violent this “occupy” mob will actually be once it reaches D.C. Although, with the far-left’s reputation for a lack of self-discipline and physical fitness, there’s a good chance the marchers may never actually reach their destination.

One-hundred and twelve miles is an awfully long way to march.

And for those wondering who is paying these lefties to protest for 10 days….it’s probably George Soros.
