Little League Football Coach Has Entire Team of 8-Year-Olds Take Knee During National Anthem

Last year, Colin Kaepernick a football player with a multi-million dollar contract began taking the knee during the national anthem, in the very stadium where he had become rich and famous, perfectly epitomizing the American dream.

Because, you know, racism or something.

In the midst of a violent, highly-charged racial battle in the United States, this player decided to ignore the fact that he perfectly embodied just how far African-Americans have come in the last Century.

Another irony is that he chose to do his silly protest during the anthem of the very country that gave him the right to protest and speak freely. I’m guessing if he’d kneeled at a public event during the Cuban national anthem, he wouldn’t have made it very far.

Speaking of which–further irony–Kaepernick is a big fan of Fidel Castro! Sadly, they would not have agreed on the right to free speech, but who cares, because socialism is just so chic.

Now, a whole team of 8-year-old football players in Bellville, IL, is imitating Kaepernick’s completely unproductive protest. They have chosen to take the knee during the national anthem at one of their games, with the gentle urging of their leftie coach, of course.

The students chose to do this entirely on their own! (…After their coach told them all about Kaepernick and suggested they all take the knee.)

“One of the kids asked me if I saw (people) protesting and rioting in St. Louis. I said yes; I said, ‘Do you know why they are doing it?’” Coach Orlando Gooden, who was a player at Mizzou, told Fox2Now St. Louis.

Coach Gooden says the child replied, “Because black people are getting killed and nobody’s going to jail;” obviously referring to what an adult had told him about the outcome of the Jason Stockley verdict.

Jason Stockley is a police officer who used his own weapon to fire on a heroin dealer he and his team were trying to apprehend after they witnessed a drug dealer and the suspect rammed his vehicle into his police cruiser.

A judge recently ruled that Stockley was not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. In response, “peaceful” protesters have been rioting and damaging public property in St. Louis ever since, apparently to protest for their right to continually commit crimes without the bothersome police getting in their way with their guns and whatnot.

As Coach Gooden and the children discussed the “protests”, Gooden explained to them who Kaepernick was, and how he’d chosen to “protest” this issue.

“One of the kids asked, ‘Can we do that?’ I said, ‘As long as we know why we’re doing it, I don’t have a problem with any of it,'” he says, almost as if he had brought up Kaepernick to encourage the little boys to do this themselves.

Fox2Now says that all the parents on the team supported the children doing this, which is more than can be said for California parents when their children are given lessons on transgenderism, at least. Gooden’s wife, however, experienced some backlash online when posting about the players’ statement.

“As long as I have support of my parents and team, I’m perfectly fine, and I’m covered under the First Amendment to peacefully protest and assemble,” Gooden said.

Gooden, all his students, and Kaepernick are indeed all covered under the First Amendment, and we are all certainly blessed to live in a nation where we have free speech.

But regardless of whether or not you feel there is mass injustice in this country, it is absurd to insult the symbol of the nation that gives you this right to protest. It is even more absurd to assume that crime and violence are covered by the First Amendment because they are most certainly not.

What this coach and the parents of these little boys are doing is programming the children to associate violence with protest, and to scorn the very flag that gives them more rights and privileges than any other country on earth.
