Mom Who Let 11-Year-Old Son Dance in Drag for Cash Cleared by CPS

The mother of a young boy who famously danced on stage for cash at a Brooklyn bar last year has been cleared by New York Child Protective services and took to social media to vent her frustrations that so many people are so strongly opposed to her particular parenting methods.

Wendy Napoles, mother of the “drag kid” named “Desmond is Amazing,” posted a series of photos on Instagram last weekend of the exonerating letters she has received from various state agencies who all determined any allegations of child abuse were “unfounded.”

Does it mean a whole lot that a state that just passed laws allowing women to murder their unborn children up until a baby’s due date doesn’t consider it child abuse to allow a young boy to dance on stage in front of dozens of grown men throwing cash at him?

Not particularly, no.

“We have been accused of child abuse, exploitation & maltreatment to the point that we have been backed into a corner trying to defend ourselves,” Naploes complained on her post. “We have been under a microscope since early December. I never thought I would have to breach my own privacy & confidentiality to provide proof that has been demanded of us out of malice.”

As Elizabeth Johnston, the Activist Mommy, explained earlier this year, laws designed to protect children from sexual exploitation are simply not being applied to parents who hide behind the rainbow flag, and young Desmond here is the perfect example.

Johnston asserted that laws protecting children from sexual exploitation are not being applied to the LGBT community, saying, “It’s 2019 when apparently it’s not only okay to be gay but also okay for grown gay men to pay little boys for dances in bars.”

“Parents can get away with it because they are members of the all-protected LGBT community,” Elizabeth said. “The double standard needs to end. And children in the LGBT community need to be protected as much as those outside.”

This is absolutely correct. How many people would be defending a mother who allowed her young daughter to dance suggrestively on stage while grown men threw dollars at her?

Naploes defends her choice to allow Desmond to perform in this manner as, of course, artistic and appropriate.

“His costumes are less revealing than a dancer’s or cheerleader’s uniform, and are always age appropriate. While he dances, he does not move in a sexual manner,” she asserted. “He often collects tips, as drag queens sometimes do, which we allow him to keep and he uses to buy clothing and the toys he wants.”

“His engagements are contracted and booked by his management agency,” she added. “All of his performances are conducted in accordance with the Dept of Labor’s regulations for child performers.”

No 11-year-old, boy, girl, in drag or not, should be performing in a sexually suggestive nature in front of grown children. It speaks volumes to the true face of the LGBT movement that so many immoral practices are being promoted, for children, that would never be allowed were they “heteronormative.”

Don’t try to to tell me the LGBT movement isn’t about much, much more than “equality.” This isn’t equal. This is turning a blind eye to child exploitation in the name of “equality.”
