Thousands of transgender rights activists are preparing to march on our nation’s capital this coming weekend, September 27-29, for the inaugural National Trans Visibility March.
According to Gay City News, advocates organized the September 28 march and related events to “raise awareness about the plight of transgender folks during a time of heightened violence against trans women of color and an all-out assault on LGBTQ rights during the Trump administration.”
Because working to roll back measures that give LGBT individuals special rights in society (not to be confused with equal rights) is an “all-out assault.” Right.
“We are marching in solidarity in support of the passing of the Equality Act and inclusion for the Trans community,” said Marissa Miller, the event’s national organizing director. “We encourage all to #March4TransEquality while demanding justice for those whose lives were taken through senseless acts of violence and murders.”
While the march itself is free to attend, its organizers are requesting a $25 donation, which comes with a T-shirt and “other items,” according to the event registration page. At least 4,000 people have already registered, the organizers reported to Gay Star News.
The so-called “day of activism” on the 28th will begin at 9 a.m. with an “Equality Rally” at Freedom Plaza, Gay Star News reports. The rally will feature “prominent speakers” including Angelica Ross, a transgender entrepreneur, and Alphonso David, president of the Human Rights Campaign.
The march itself is scheduled to begin after the rally at 11 a.m.
Gay Star News reports:
Organizers have outlined eight policy points they plan to highlight that day. The leaders are most prominently calling for a “state of emergency” in response to the 19 known trans women who have died violent deaths this year, while also demanding the passage of the comprehensive nondiscrimination legislation known as the Equality Act and the scrapping of the trans military ban. They also seek to reinstitute Obamacare nondiscrimination protections and an Obama-era guidance for trans kids in schools, block a proposed rule out of the Department of Housing and Urban Development that would deny access to homeless shelters based on a person’s gender identity, stop the over-policing of trans women, and put an end to the mistreatment of trans people in immigration custody.
On the day before the march, attendees are invited to participate in “activist trainings” and to hear a panel discussion about the movement to decriminalize prostitution, as well as a credit and financial management workshop, among other events. An invite-only event called the Torch Awards will honor “advocates whose work has impacted the lives of trans, gender nonconforming, and non-binary people” that night.
To put the finishing touch on this festival of perversion, Gay Star News says the “weekend festivities” will conclude on Sunday afternoon with an “Empowerment Service” at Community Church of Washington, D.C. to “celebrate the progress gained so far in the fight for trans rights while also encouraging folks to remain active in their local communities when they return home.”
The church, affiliated with the United Church of Christ denomination that also housed the nearly-canceled Drag Queen Story Hour in Leander, Texas, says it believes in “being socially prophetic and not just progressive and liberal for the sake of political correctness.”
“We consider ourselves to be a light called by God to shine amidst the spiritual ignorance of our age that perpetuates racism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia as well as all isms and phobias that promote hatred, violence, poverty, religious fanaticism and ignorance cloaked in religious dogma,” their website reads.
This tells you everything you need to know. The LGBT movement doesn’t want equal rights, they want dominion. They intersect and synchronize with all other movements under the leftist tent, forming one united front against tradition, morality, and even basic biology.
This assault on our truth, morality, and common sense is exactly what we’re fighting against.
If you appreciate the work we are doing to fight the leftist assault on our values, please consider a small donation to help us continue. Thank you so much!
