New Burger King Ad Campaign Features Mascot Kissing Ronald McDonald

Countless corporations have cashed in on the LGBT+ wave and woke culture, but Burger King has kicked the pandering game up several notches with a new ad campaign featuring its mascot locked in a passionate kiss with Ronald McDonald.

In an image visible on the chain’s website for its operations in Finland, the King pulls in the mascot of the chain’s top competitor for a homosexual kiss, captioned in English with, “Love Conquers All.”

According to Breitbart, the image will also make its way onto posters in public.

Breitbart reports:

The campaign appears to be in aid of Helsinki Pride Week, which was moved to September from its usual slot due to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. It also appears to have been influenced by the race politics of the Black Lives Matter movement, featuring the new version of the Pride flag topped with a black and brown stripe in order to “represent” non-white non-heterosexuals specifically.

“Burger King has always stood for equality, love and everyone’s right to be just the way they are,” Burger King Finland’s Brand Manager Kaisa Kasila said in a statement to Media Post. “The only instance where it might not seem so, is when we’re bantering with our competitor. But we want to be clear – it all stems from the respect we have for them. And we know McDonald’s stands for the values we stand for, too.”

The campaign concept, Kasila went on, “sprang from our desire to celebrate love in all forms. We thought, what a better way to convey our values than by portraying an all-encompassing kiss between Burger King and McDonald. We wanted to show that in the end, love always wins.”

If that isn’t the affirmation-only issue in a nutshell!

Saints, we do love sinners as fellow bearers of the image of God, but we do not affirm sin. This is how love wins, through the Gospel call to repentance and faith in Christ—not leaving folks chained to their beloved sins as we once were.

Perhaps we need to add Burger King to the growing list of companies who will no longer receive our hard-earned money if they insist on tying their product to sin.
