No, Pete Buttigieg, the Bible Does NOT Support Abortion Up Until Birth

Those that put on the façade of being a Christian all while openly living in contradiction to the very word of God are some of the biggest enemies we face. Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is one of these people.

The South Bend, Indiana Mayor claims to be a Christian but is an open homosexual and has recently declared that the Bible not only supports abortion but also justifies abortion up until birth.

We don’t need to tell you that this is a complete lie.

According to Life News:

The South Bend, Indiana, mayor spoke with “The Breakfast Club” on Friday morning about his comprehensive Douglass Plan, his thoughts on whether America is ready for a gay president, and whether black voters should vote for him.

Buttigieg discussed how the Bible talks about life beginning with breath, and suggested this would be one way to determine when life began in relation to abortion debates.

He said Republicans hold everyone in line with doctrine about abortion.

” … which is obviously a tough issue for a lot of people to think through morally,” Buttigieg said. “Then again, there’s a lot of parts of the Bible that talk about how life begins with breath, and so even that is something that we can interpret differently.”

He added that he’s pro-choice.

“I think, no matter what you think about the kind of cosmic question of how life begins, most Americans can get on board with the idea of, alright, I might draw the line here, you might draw the line there, but the most important thing is the person who should be drawing the line is the woman making the decision,” the South Bend mayor continued.

Mr. Buttigieg has a blatant disregard for what the Bible actually says and instead prefers to cherry-pick verses that seem to support his very unbiblical views, like so many other false teachers who claim Christ but push lies of the devil.

Numerous verses in the Bible talk about God knowing us before we were in our mother’s wombs and refer to the unborn as alive (take for example Psalm 139:13 and Luke 1:41).

Would God, who cannot lie or contradict Himself, really then state that life does not begin until the first breath?. Absolutely not. This is a lie.

We are spiritual beings and thus our lives are defined more than just our physical births.

God has created each and every one of us and He knew us before we were even conceived (Jeremiah 1:5). God has given us life and explicitly commands that we do not take the life of anyone else in the sixth commandment “Thou shalt not murder.” Whatever straws Buttigieg is grasping at and whatever verses he is attempting to fit into his pro-abortion narrative, one thing is clear: God is against the taking of human life. Period.

Buttigieg also argues that it’s the woman’s decision because it’s her life. Well, the life inside her is not her own. The Bible clearly distinguishes between the life of the mother and the life of the unborn baby in her womb. It’s not the place of the woman to “draw the line” when God has already done so.

Whatever the law says, this moral truth is unchanging.

However, at a Fox News town hall in May, Buttigieg declared, “The bottom line is, as horrible as that choice is, that woman, that family, may seek spiritual guidance, they may seek medical guidance, but that decision isn’t going to be made any better, medically or morally, because the government is dictating how that decision should be made.”

The fact remains that regardless of whether or not the government gets to decide whether or not it is immoral to take the life of an unborn baby, it is still immoral to take the life of an unborn baby.  God will judge America one day for the atrocities we have allowed to be committed.

Now is the time to fight for the rights of the unborn, something that God does in fact support, as confirmed by scripture when it is read accurately and not taken out of context.

Pray for Pete Buttigieg, for his judgment will be severe if he does not repent of his false adherence to biblical values as he lives in and promotes sin.
