Porn Site Opens Public Store in SoHo, People Are Flocking To It

One of the biggest stories in the news over the last several months has been the disturbing discovery of a sick, twisted underbelly of sexual abuse, harassment, and assault in Hollywood.

Now, to those of us aware of much of the smut coming out of the modern film industry, it wasn’t a huge shock to see flamboyant actors like Keven Spacey and film producers like Harvey Weinstein get outed as creeps and abusers.

However, what really does blow the mind is how, despite all of the stories and confessions coming out, all the push behind the #metoo hashtag, it seems folks on the left don’t really want to solve this problem.

This is evidenced by the fact that none of these Hollywood elites clamoring for fifteen minutes of fame in the “woke” spotlight of hashtag activism are going after the pornography industry and putting an end to the creation of the kind of men and women who participate in predatory behavior.

The fact that a new Pornhub storefront has gone up in SoHo is a prime example of the hypocrisy of the left when it comes to fighting sexual assault and harassment.

Pornography is truly a danger to our culture as it rewires the brain in a physical way.

The Huffington Post reports:

A number of states, including Utah and Arkansas, have declared pornography a public health crisis. With 88% of porn videos depicting physical aggression, many fear that the proliferation and unhooked accessibility of pornography online is normalizing violence against women and sexual abuse of children.

Research has found that “mirror neurons” that fire and wire the brain make us feel one another’s pleasures and pains. According to scientists, mirror neurons are powerfully activated by pornography. Highly frequent porn users share traits with drug and opioid abusers, often leading to failing relationships, destroyed marriages, and health issues, including erectile dysfunction.

Almost hidden on a quaint cobblestone street in fashionable SoHo, one could easily walk by the storefront without a second glance. But people are flocking to the porn shop thanks to glowing reviews from an enthusiastic media. The New York Times described it as an antidote to the “dearth of smut” in the city and Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office brushed it off as “not that interesting.” Lines of eager or curious visitors snaked the block the day Pornhub’s pop up opened; the owners plan to repeat this across the city next year and they launched one in Milan.

Through the glass door, Pornhub’s space is airy with a sleek understated design reminiscent of Scandinavian minimalism. The handful of scattered sex toys and clothing in the polished loft are an afterthought to the fare Pornhub is really selling. This isn’t Babeland. Pornhub isn’t peddling fun sex or erotica. It is masterfully marketing itself in a corporate push to increase viewership on one of the vilest porn sites on the Internet. In 2016, Pornhub had 64 million visitors to its site every day — that’s 44,000 hits every minute.

What makes this all so appalling is that sites like Pornhub have made pornography so easily accessible. Back in the 1970s, for example, a few adult theaters opened up in Times Square, but very few people frequented such establishments or accidentally wandered into them, not knowing what they were about to behold.

However, that’s not true with porn sites on the Internet. Often times, these sites — Pornhub included — use deceptive techniques to land as high as possible in search engine rankings, so that even when kids Google something innocent, there’s a strong possibility they’ll come across a porn video or image, making this perversion of God’s beautiful gift of sex almost impossible to avoid.

What’s happening is that young boys are learning sexual education from either pornography or liberal degenerates in public school, both of which tell them that performing certain acts that would normally be deemed indecent by regular people are totally okay and acceptable.

Let’s take raunchy comedian Louis C.K. for example. This man admitted to sexually harassing women and performing a certain sexual act in front of them, one that is often portrayed in pornographic films, which he himself confessed to watching.

It’s bad enough these videos and photos are plastered all over the Internet, but now you have to worry about them bombarding you and your children offline too.

This Pornhub store, along with the company’s pledge to help snowplow in Boston with branded trucks, is an attempt by these perverts to shove this vile brand of debauchery on as many people as possible. They want your kids to be addicted to their smut, as it lines their pockets. They could care less about the damage it does to your child’s soul.

If we’re going to talk about ending sexual assaults, which is obviously a good thing, then it’s important to be consistent and acknowledge that pornography is something that needs to be fought against.

In other words, leftists can’t have an “anything goes” sexual revolution “free love style” without having negative consequences. If they truly want to stop this awful behavior, we have to go back to a biblical view of sex, which means seeing it as a beautiful gift between a husband and wife only.
