REPORT: U.S. Government Has Been Purchasing “Fresh” Aborted Fetal Remains

Last week, conservative legal watchdog group Judicial Watch published a lengthy report on the Federal Drug Administration’s (FDA) purchases and trafficking of “fresh” body parts from the remains of aborted children.

The harvesting and sale of aborted fetal remains has faced harsh scrutiny over the past decade, most notably involving David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Research’s bombshell undercover videos.

However, that the federal government appears to have been exposed in partaking of a practice that rightly causes massive outcry from the public as abortion alone remains one of the most hotly-contested moral issues of our time is highly concerning at best.

JW revealed emails between employees of the FDA and Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) which establish the sale of tens of thousands of dollars worth of parts from aborted human babies between 2012 and 2018.

The Federalist explains that ABR is one of the oldest fetal tissue procurement firms and pulls in millions annually by harvesting the lungs, eyeballs, brains, and other organs from unborn children who have been killed in abortion and selling them at a profit.

The emails obtained by JW emails also confirm that the FDA was buying body parts harvested from babies who were aborted after 20 weeks gestation.

The firm was reportedly earning $12,000 up front per aborted baby, some of whom would have been viable outside the womb. “Most purchases are for intact thymuses and livers shipped ‘Fresh; on wet ice,'” the Federalist reports.

The Trump administration ended the FDA’s contract with ABR in 2018 as all fetal tissue research was halted due to potentially unlawful contracts. This new FOIA request from Judicial Watch adds 575 pages of records to an existing 2019 lawsuit against the FDA, the outlet also notes.
