A high-profile special election to replace former Senator Jeff Sessions is underway in Alabama, and last night, conservative Christian constitutionalist Roy Moore won the runoff race against Trump-backed Luther Strange and other Republican candidates.
This is a huge victory for the fight to return Christian values to America and we give glory to God, as well as against the Republican rhinos in Congress who have been stalling real change for years!
Moore beat out Strange, who was the incumbent appointed by Sessions to replace him when Sessions was appointed Attorney General by President Trump. The President, as well as Mitch McConnell, supported Strange and McConnell also raised considerable funds–$30 million–for his campaign.
Despite this strong establishment backing, Moore’s no-nonsense approach to conservatism and his undying commitment to bringing Christian values back to America prevailed!
“If they can’t beat me with $30 million and we only had about $1.5 … If they can’t beat me, then there’s a crack in the dam, the whole thing falls,” he said during his victory speech to cheering crowds.
Moore has been an ardent supporter of traditional, Judeo-Christian values for decades and has stood up against its enemies on more than one occasion.
Most recently, while serving as the chief justice of the Alabama state supreme court, Moore ordered his probate judges to defy federal orders on same-sex marriage, instructing them to refuse to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
He was ultimately suspended after a vicious campaign of LGBT activists, led by drag queen “Ambrosia Starling” called for his removal from the bench, a move which the Liberty Council called illegal.
“The moral foundation of our country is under attack,” Moore said at the time, “government has become oppressive, and judges are warping the law.”

Moore has a long history of standing up against the leftist, humanist agenda and defying those who try to strip him of his public recognition of the Creator from whom our rights originate.
In the 90’s, while serving as a circuit judge in Alabama, Moore hung a wooden plaque of the 10 Commandments that he had personally engraved behind him in his courtroom. He would also open court sessions in prayer. The ACLU tried to file suit, but it was ultimately dismissed.
When he was elected as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court he ordered the erection of a 3,000 ton granite monument to the 10 Commandments to be erected in the rotunda of the Supreme Court. The ACLU filed suit again, along with the Southern Poverty Law Center, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and other groups.
This time, they were successful, but Justice Moore refused and was ultimately removed from the bench rather than order the statue removed.
He stated that doing so would be a violation of his position: “[The monument] serves to remind the Appellate Courts and judges of the Circuit and District Court of this State and members of the bar who appear before them, as well as the people of Alabama who visit the Alabama Judicial Building, of the truth stated in the Preamble to the Alabama Constitution that in order to establish justice we must invoke ‘the favor and guidance of almighty God.”
In 2003, Moore was ultimately ordered to either remove the monument or step down from his seat, and he chose the former. In 2011, he successfully ran again and won.
Moore has consistently upheld the importance of recognizing that our rights come from God, not from man, and his campaign platform for Senate is thoroughly pro-Constitution, pro-family, pro-traditional values, and pro-God.

There might have been some red “MAGA” hats on stage with him during his acceptance speech, and the President may have tweeted this morning that Moore is going to “help #MAGA”, but we know that before we can make America great again, we must make America good again, and Moore uniquely recognizes that the root of our nation’s decline is not financial or social, it is spiritual.
Please pray for this great man of God and defender of the Constitution to prevail as he goes up against his Democratic opponent, a Clinton-era US Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, Doug Jones.
We sure know how much our country needs men like Moore!
