There is a slippery slope we mention here often, that conservatives and Christians have been warning about for decades. This is the slippery slope of normalizing sexual perversion. The LGBT community has always claimed there is a difference between consensual adults engaging in a same-sex relationship and adults and children engaging in a sexual relationship.
While there certainly may be a difference between these types of relationships, it has been proven true in the last few years that normalizing one swings the door wide open to normalize the other, and that is exactly what has happened.
With the insane gender and sexual identity revolution well underway, pedophiles have certainly taken, and been granted, the opportunity to claim their sick perversion as just another sexual identity, and liberals are eating it right up.
Enter Salon.com, the radical leftist publication known for profiling incestuous relationships, relentlessly mocking Christians, blaming the West for the 2015 Paris ISIS attack, claiming the Christmas story is somehow sexist, pushing conspiracy theories that the right is trying to create a Christian theocracy, and, perhaps most notoriously, sympathetically profiling self-identifying pedophiles.
The infamous article, “I’m a pedophile, not a monster,” penned by a man who admitted to being sexually attracted to children while also claiming to have never acted upon these urges, made the argument that pedophilia was a sexual identity and should be met with sympathy and understanding rather than judgment and shame.
Truth Revolt explains:
It all began in September last year with the article “I’m a pedophile, but not a monster,” which featured self-identified pedophile Todd Nickerson of the website “Virtuous Pedophiles” classify his sexual disorder as a “sexual identity” that needs to be met with some kind of compassion. Though neither Nickerson nor Salon advocates that pedophiles should be allowed to act on their urges, they do feel they should be allowed to be open about their identities without facing repercussions or be ostracized, as if people would be wrong to shield their children from ever being in their presence.
In a new video released Tuesday, Salon featured Nickerson talking openly about the nature of his sexual disorder, which he classifies as an orientation, and how he manages to resist the urge to molest children.
According to Nickerson, at age 18, he babysat a five-year old girl and fell in love with her, and since he never wanted to act on his urges, he chose to privately “relieve” himself instead. Thankfully, he has never molested a child his whole life and doesn’t wish to. Instead, Nickerson wants to foster a new attitude in society that allows pedophiles to openly identify as such so they won’t be forced underground.
Salon has now removed the article from their website, in an apparent attempt to backtrack a little on their outrageous normalization of something that is at best, a serious mental illness.
Thanks to The Gateway Pundit and the internet’s Wayback Machine, however, they can’t back away from this disgusting article so easily. Just the fact that they would want to is damning enough–they know what they were defending, and they know it was wrong, and rather than admit as much, they’re trying to bury it.
Sorry, Salon! We all know the smut you have been promoting and one way or another, you will answer for it.
