In the wake of a devastating hurricane on the island of Puerto Rico, one mayor seems to have plenty of free time and resources to make homemade t-shirts and politicize the heck out of the suffering of her people.
San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz has made significantly more progress having media slap fights with President Trump than she has with distributing supplies to people in need.
Last Friday, she hysterically told Trump via the media that “People are dying in this country. I am begging, begging anyone that can hear us, to save us from dying. If anybody out there is listening to us, we are dying and you are killing us with the inefficiency and the bureaucracy.”
As her people are supposedly dying all around her, Cruz still had time to give a press conference in front of pallets full of supplies, failing to see the irony, and also get her own personalized t-shirt made (who is making t-shirts in a disaster zone?!) that said “Help us we are dying.”
When President Trump visited San Juan last week, they had an incredibly awkward meeting, and then returned to bashing each other once the photo op had ended.
As one can imagine, Cruz is a raging leftist. She’s a big fan of Hillary Clinton and a neo-Marxist convicted terrorist named Oscar Lopez Rivera.
Trump, being, well, Trump, has responded to Cruz’s smack-talking in the manner we have all grown accustomed to: with a nice little tweetstorm of rage.
The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.

…Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They….

…want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.

Apparently, like many brave, loud, annoying Democrat women that have gone before her, Cruz felt inspired to be called “nasty.” How inspired?
Inspired enough to make another t-shirt!
That’s right–Cruz fired up the old hurricane-relief-effort t-shirt maker again and made herself another t-shirt with an even bolder statement on it! (Or perhaps it was just left over from the Women’s March, come to think of it.)
This dignified, respectable mayor donned her brand-new t-shirt on an interview with Univision:
Way to save lives, Carmen, way to save lives.
I honestly cannot think of anything more narcissistic than spending this much time as your city is in the midst of a devastating disaster than to wear stupid t-shirts and start a political slap fight.
Trump, who isn’t exactly full of class and dignity himself, even pointed out that the Governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló, isn’t a Republican either and yet was grateful for the federal assistance they received.
“He’s not even from my party, and he started right at the beginning appreciating what we did,” Trump said of Roselló, according to the Daily Wire. “This governor did not play politics — he didn’t play it at all. He was saying it like it was and he was giving us the highest grades.”
At the end of the day, this silly, nasty woman cares as little about her people as she claims Trump does.
