These stories have become increasingly frequent, although they’re typically very quiet, skipped over by the mainstream media who would much rather pay attention to stories that suit their progressive narrative than the horrific crime of child sex trafficking.
Nearly 40 missing or endangered children were rescued by federal and state agents in Georgia over a two-week period, according to authorities and reported by Newsmax.
Thirteen missing children were found and 26 endangered children rescued during the operation, which took place in Atlanta and Macron, the U.S. Marshals Service revealed on Thursday.
These children were considered to be “some of the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases” and included likely victims of child sex trafficking, child exploitation, and abuse. Some had medical or mental health conditions, officials said.
Indeed, 15 of the children had been trafficked for sex, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“When we track down fugitives, it’s a good feeling to know that we’re putting the bad guy behind bars. But that sense of accomplishment is nothing compared to finding a missing child,” said Darby Kirby, Chief of the Missing Child Unit, in a statement.
“It’s hard to put into words what we feel when we rescue a missing child, but I can tell you that this operation has impacted every single one of us out here. We are working to protect them and get them the help they need.”
Nine unidentified people were arrested on charges relating to the bust, including sex trafficking, parental kidnapping and custodial interference, registered sex offenses, and weapons violations.
Children are being exploited and abused in the most unthinkable way all across our country, and this is certainly not the first story we’ve reported on involving dozens of children rescued from trafficking operations. It’s gut-wrenching to think of those still kept in bondage.
We must continue to pray that this sickening and disgusting practice will no longer be a reality in our nation. We cannot claim to be a moral nation when babies that aren’t being dismembered in the womb are being kidnapped, trafficked, and exploited in horrific ways.
We need revivial. We need repentance. We need change.
