Sesame Street Joins Other Children’s Shows In Wishing Viewers Happy “Pride Month”

We’re past June’s midway point and already our pent-up, quarantined society has been inundated with a barrage of rainbow-clad virtue signaling.

In other words, it’s “Pride” Month.

Though it’s little more than a marketing ploy for companies to beg for the patronage of the woke crowd by offering platitudes of solidarity to the LGBT community, we are no less disappointed in our once-moral culture each June.

One aspect that never ceases to disappoint is the eagerness with which children’s education and entertainment producers hop on the rainbow bandwagon, and no one does it more consistently than PBS’ “Sesame Street.”

The iconic children’s show has adamantly embraced all things LGBT in recent years. As we’ve recently reported, the show has had guest appearances by gay icons like Billy Porter, featured songs suggesting that children cross-dressing is a great way to “play,” and tweeted in support of families of “all shapes, sizes, and colors”.

So when the show tweeted late last week that, “On our street, we accept all, we love all, and we respect all” and wished followers a happy “Pride” month, no one was shocked—only disappointed.

Of course, Sesame Street is far from the only purveyor of children’s media to push the pride agenda this month.

Earlier this week, Nickelodeon appeared to out—of all characters—Spongebob Squarepants in a tweet celebrating the month.

“Celebrating #Pride with the LGBTQ+ community and their allies this month and every month,” reads the tweet, featuring the anthropomorphic invertebrate alongside an animated bisexual character and a transgender “male” actor.

Cartoon Network, who outperforms both Nickelodeon and Sesame Street in cranking out pro-LGBT content, declared that “our world is changing every day and it’s the courage of individuals that bring forth progress.”

You know what to do, folks.

We must continue our refusal to give a single dime to companies that promote immorality and, most importantly, shield our children from this dangerous agenda—not just in June, but all year long.
