Indoctrination of children in public school is a real thing and if you don’t believe it’s so, all you have to do is a cursory glance at the news and you’ll stumble across many stories of the practice happening everywhere.
The hot button topic the left is attempting to shove into your child’s brain to usurp your authority as a parent and undermine your values is the concept of “gender identity,” or transgenderism.
The latest example of this comes from a grade school in California that created a bulletin board to address the issue using a syndicated sex columnist and a unicorn.
This is very disturbing.
Todd Starnes has the details:
Parents are furious after a California elementary school posted a bulletin board that addressed issues like sexual identity and encouraged children as young as four-years-old to break out of gender stereotypes.
The bulletin board at Rancho Romero Elementary School also featured nationally-syndicated sex columnist Dan Savage as a role model for children. Mr. Savage also hosts an annual porn festival.
“For him to be a role model for four-year-olds to 11-year-olds is utterly disgusting, one anonymous parent said on the Todd Starnes Radio Show. “He’s not someone you want to put up at an elementary school.”
The bulletin board included Mr. Savage’s photo (fully clothed) along with the following quote:
“A lot of kids are bullied because of their sexual identity or expression. It’s often the effeminate boys and the masculine girls, the ones who violate gender norms and expectations who get bullied.”
Savage most certainly lives up to his name in the manner in which he interacts with those who disagree with his homosexual lifestyle, often resorting to hateful words in order to silence his “enemies” instead of engaging their arguments.
Here’s a sample of his foul-mouthed vulgarity in action:
In 2012 Mr. Savage bullied a group of Christian teenagers who walked out of a journalism conference after he launched a profane attack on the Bible. He called them “pansy-a**ed.
And there was that time he tried to infect a Republican candidate with a flu virus – and how can we forget about the time he wished congressional Republicans would “f***ing die.”
What has parents concerned the most is the use of the “Gender Unicorn” that helps introduce young kids to the idea of gender identity, expression, and presentation. It uses terms like “sexually attracted to” and “romantically/emotionally attracted to” in its teaching materials.
Children of this age shouldn’t be exposed to such things as their simply not emotionally developed enough to be ready for “adult” topics.
After parents complained about the display, the school changed a few things to make the board more “age-appropriate,” however, what they should have done was take it down, not fix it up.
Part of the revision made by the school included the removal of the photo of Mr. Savage and the quote from him they had posted on the board.
It’s a sad state of affairs when an innocent fictional character is being used to lure children into something to be indoctrinated with teaching that attempts to normalize mental illness and ends up leaving kids confused about gender and sexuality.
The school ought to be ashamed of themselves.
However, incidents like these are now becoming more and more common, which means it’s time for parents to step up to the plate and fight tooth and nail to protect children from being exposed to this sort of thing. After all, it’s the primary role and responsibility of the parent to teach and instill children with values concerning sexuality, not federally funded public schools.
