A Texas rancher’s wife recently shared harrowing footage of five little girls who were abandoned on their property after being smuggled across the border before being discovered by her husband.
The children, who ranged from ages one to six according to Breitbart News, were found on the farmland near Eagle Pass, Texas on Mother’s Day.
The evening before, the small children had been taken across the Rio Grande and abandoned, with no water, food, or adults to tend to their well-being.
Children are increasingly being sent across the border with traffickers and left alone, leaving the Biden administration with an influx of unaccompanied migrant minors to house and care for.
Temperatures were as high as 103 on Sunday and had they not been discovered by the rancher, it is horrific to think of what may have become of them.
“Five little girls were crossed yesterday afternoon and were dumped with no food, water, nothing,” Kate Coleman Hobbs wrote in a Facebook post. “My husband found them this morning while on rounds. The adults in the video are our farm manager and his wife who brought much-needed water and food.”
The rancher’s farm manager and his wife helped care for the small children, one of whom they thought was dead before they managed to revive her. All five girls appeared exhausted and dehydrated.
“This is happening everywhere!!!!” Hobbs wrote. “Share, make calls, raise h***! Stop this inhumanity! This summer is going to be a killer for many! 110 degrees! Stop! Stop this!”
Breitbart’s Randy Clarke, a 32-year veteran of the U.S. Border Patrol, explained that children are being sent alone across the border by their parents to “avoid immediate expulsion under the CDC Title 42 emergency order if crossing as a family unit.”
“According to a law enforcement source, the parents or other relatives illegally enter the United States afterward to claim the children to avoid deportation once the children are freed by HHS,” he added.
