That’s Right. Father-Daughter Dances Are Now Politically Incorrect

Because of course they are.

The family unit has been breaking apart in this country for many reasons, but lately, leftists seem determined to do away with every shred of normalcy that might be left between parents and children.

Namely, the elementary school tradition of the father-daughter dance. Normally a very sweet event for fathers and daughters to attend together that affirms the important role fathers play in their daughter’s lives and an all-around wholesome social event for young girls and the most important men in their lives.

Of course, in Staten Island, a social event that recognized both gender (fathers, daughters), and traditional family roles (…fathers, daughters), was entirely too politically incorrect and “triggering” to be allowed to happen.

Because heaven forbid anyone be triggered. By an elementary school dance.

Fox Insider reports:

PS 65 had the event scheduled for Friday, February 9, until the school’s parent-teacher association realized it would not comply with the Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Student Guidelines, which went into effect in March 2017.

The school’s PTA will reschedule a dance for kids and caregivers of any gender on March 2, according to the DOE.

“Father-daughter dances inherently leave people out. Not just because of transgender status, just life in general,” said Jared Fox, the DOE’s LGBT community liaison. “These can be really uncomfortable and triggering events.”

Are we really going to do this? Are we really going to say an 8-year-old girl can’t put on a pretty dress and go to a dance with her father and her little friends and have some good, clean fun, while her life is still innocent? Just because a handful of people might be mixed up or not have fathers?

Children who grow up with fathers absolutely deserve compassion and support, but growing up without a father can be so devastating to a child’s formidable years that their inability to attend a father-daughter dance is probably one of the least of their troubles.

But of course, this really has more to do with the gender insanity agenda anyway, right? Everyone is so desperate to accommodate the gender confused that they forget that most little girls want to be little girls, and most fathers want to be fathers, and that’s never going to change. That’s how we were designed.

We have got to stop pretending that the whole world is just going to stop using gender stereotypes, because they aren’t. Let little girls be little girls and dads be dads, and let them have their dance for goodness’ sake!
