This CA City Official Claims Drag Queen Protesters Hold ‘White Supremacist Beliefs’

The irony of the sex-crazed leftist mob lobbing attacks against conservatives as immoral and hateful never ceases to amaze.

In spite of having absolutely no legitimate moral ground on which to stand, proponents of an upcoming Drag Queen Story Hour event in Chula Vista, California are defending the sick event by, among other things, claiming that its opponents hold “white supremacist beliefs.”

Really? This is where they’re going with this now?

According to CBS8, Steve Padilla, an openly gay, LGBT-activist and Chula Vista councilmember, made the accusation against pro-family groups like MassResistance in a Facebook post:

Statement from Councilmember Steve PadillaRe: Drag Queen Storytime at the Chula Vista Public Library in Otay…

Posted by Councilmember Steve Padilla on Wednesday, August 28, 2019

Padilla said, in part:

I am disappointed that some voices both from inside and outside our community have chosen to use the upcoming Drag Queen Storytime as an opportunity to perpetuate long discredited false and discriminatory narratives targeting the LGBTQ+ community in the name of protecting children. This is wrong and must be called out for what it is – the spreading of ignorance, fear, and hate. Much of this fearmongering is being organized by the local chapter of a nationally known hate-group which promotes not just anti-LGBTQ beliefs, but also anti-immigrant and white supremacist beliefs. These ideas and tactics do not reflect the community I love and serve.

Why is no one within his camp taking Padilla to task for his wild-eyed, unsubstantiated accusation that MassResistance is made up of  a bunch of white supremacists? Where is his evidence for making such a serious claim? When has MassResistance ever promoted anything even resembling white supremacy? We won’t hold our breath waiting for that evidence.

Protesters rallied last Thursday in front of the main branch of the Chula Vista Public Library to protest the event, which is scheduled for this Tuesday, September 10.

While the library states that the event will encourage “reading, learning & inclusivity” among young children and “celebrate our wonderfully diverse community with stories, crafts and dancing,” we won’t be fooled.

“Drag Queen Story Hour is not innocent fun to celebrate play while teaching diversity and tolerance,” said Arthur Schaper of MassResistance. “If adult entertainers engage in those behaviors, they can do so freely in their nightclubs and cabarets but not around children.”

How strange—not an ounce of “white supremacist” rhetoric in his statement. Clearly, Padilla just  weaponized this buzzword to distract from the legitimate concerns the community has about a bunch of drag queens hanging out with their children.

Of course, there were plenty of LGBTQ counter-protesters at the rally regurgitating the usual spiel about the “love” and “tolerance” promoted by these events.

Breitbart reports:

“The Drag Queen Story Hour helps teach them about the acceptance of all,” said Dennis Nicely of LGBT-activist group PFLAG.

Other activists said the event promotes tolerance and diversity.

“We are here to represent community values, which are inclusiveness and acceptance, love and diversity,” said Irina Sagade. “These are values of a public space.”

An announcement by the library posted to Facebook said the scheduled Drag Queen Story Hour event was “in celebration of the city of Chula Vista’s proclamation of September 14, 2019 as LGBTQ Day.”

“We strongly believe that libraries are a clear reflection of the community they serve,” the public library continued. “We aim to foster an environment that encourages reading, learning & inclusivity, celebrate our wonderfully diverse community with stories, crafts and dancing on 09/10/2019.”

On Sunday, the library announced the location of the Drag Queen Story Hour would be changed from the Otay Ranch Library to the Chula Vista Civic Center in order to accommodate the masses of dangerously deceived families expected to attend:

Thankfully, MassResistance isn’t alone in fighting this disgusting event. NBC7 reported that many parents have been alerting others on social media and calling on them to demand that the library put a stop to this lurid event.

Amado Huizar, a father of four and pastor in Chula Vista, told NBC7 that he is concerned about how the drag queen reading event influences children, especially regarding the blatant “sexual innuendo” involved in the very nature of drag.

“It’s unfortunate that people aren’t agreeing with it in when it’s all about fun,”  drag performer “Strawberry Corn Cakes” told NBC7.

If dressing up as an offensive caricature of a woman and hanging out with little children is your idea of fun, any sane society would deal with you appropriately. But, in Chula Vista and a steadily growing number of cities nationwide, you can be applauded for your “bravery” and land a gig at a library. Lord have mercy on us.

Those who have been paying attention and haven’t been deceived by the sparkling veil over this sinister sexualized movement know that Drag Queen Story Hours aren’t just for fun.

As we’ve previously reported, Dylan Pontiff, a gay drag performer who uses the stage name “Santana Pilar Andrews” and organized a Drag Queen Story Hour event for Louisiana preschoolers, brazenly stated that his event’s purpose was “the grooming of the next generation.”

“I’m here to let you know that this event is something that’s going to be very beautiful and for the children and the people that supported are going to realize that this is going to be the grooming of the next generation,” Pontiff told the Lafayette City-Parish Council last year. “We are trying to groom the next generation to not see the way that they just did.”

This is exactly why we fight these events. They absolutely must stop. These people can say what they want about us, it doesn’t matter. They can malign us, they can slander us, and, clearly, they will.  Still, we must stand firm for our children. No one else will!

Saints, it’s time to act. This event is slated to take place Tuesday, September 10th. Call the Chula Vista Public Library and the Chula Vista Civic Center and politely demand that they listen to their community and end this event.

Visit our petition to send a clear message to the ALA that these events are dangerous, that their ardent support of them is condemnable, and that we will not support our tax-funded libraries acting as safe spaces for the grooming of children!
