Three Brothers, Including Two Illegal Immigrants, Accused Of Assaulting 10-Year-Old Girl in Louisiana Home

A harrowing crime against a 10-year-old Louisiana girl serves as a terrifying reminder that the fight to #SaveOurChildren begins in our very own homes.

According to the New York Post, three brothers are charged with the rape of the young daughter after she refused their sexual advances and locked herself in a bedroom of her Kenner, Louisiana home to hide.

Elder Paz-Perez, 31, is the boyfriend of the girl’s mother. He and his brothers, Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez had been living with the girl and her family, including her 15-year-old sister and two stepsiblings, at the time of the alleged assault earlier this month.

According to Kenner Police Lt. Michael Cunningham, Raul and Wilmer were arrested Saturday on a charge of first-degree rape involving a juvenile under the age of 13.

Elder Paz-Perez, however, has evaded capture as of this writing.

“We don’t know where he is,” Cunningham told the Post. “He may be out of state.”

To top it all off, at least two of the brothers are immigrants residing in the country illegally.

The Post reports:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainers have also been placed on Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez, who are originally from Honduras and were in the US illegally. The immigration status for Elder Paz-Perez was unclear early Tuesday, Cunningham said.

At the time of the vicious attack, the three brothers were alone with the girl. They began making sexual advances toward her, even offering her money for sex acts, Cunningham reported.

The girl fled from the men, locking herself in a bedroom, Cunningham said, but the brothers managed to break into the room.

“After defeating the lock, the three entered the room, undressed the victim, held her down, and sexually assaulted her,” Kenner Police said, according to the Post.

The girl confided in a relative about the brutal assault, who in turn reported the alleged crime to police on Saturday. Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez were arrested later that day.

Cunningham also noted that detectives investigating the possibility that Elder Paz-Perez had previously sexually assaulted the girl’s 15-year-old sister after she “made a disclosure” to investigators about an incident that occurred a few years prior.

The girl’s two stepsiblings are also being interviewed by detectives to determine if they had been victims of Paz-Perez or his brothers as well.

At this time, the Post reports, Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez are being held without bail at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.

So often we see headlines of such vile crimes against children in such extreme cases, we often forget that many children are just as likely—if not more so—to become victims in their own homes.

This should not have been the case for this poor, sweet child. These wicked men shouldn’t have so much as set foot in this country, let alone in the home of children they see only as prey.

Seek the Lord in prayer that His justice would rain down on those who harm these precious little ones!
