A child molester who began to identify as a woman only after being arrested for a cold case sexual assault case laughed about an anticipated lenient sentence as heard in jailhouse recordings from late last year.

Hannah Tubbs, 26, was tried as a juvenile after being arrested eight years after sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a Denny’s bathroom and given a scant two-year sentence.

Tubbs, who committed the act just two weeks before turning 18, was the beneficiary of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon’s plan to end trying juveniles as adults and, due to identifying as a woman after being arrested last year, was set to be placed in a juvenile facility despite being an adult now.

Gascon has faced mounting criticism for the Tubbs case.

In jailhouse recordings exclusively reported by Fox News, Tubbs can be heard laughing about a plea deal and anticipated not having to register as a sex offender.

Fox noted that Tubbs is likely to serve just six months and indeed will not have to register as an offender after being released.

“I’m gonna plead out to it, plead guilty,” Tubbs could be heard saying in one recording. “They’re gonna stick me on probation, and it’s gonna be dropped, it’s gonna be done, I won’t have to register, won’t have to do nothing.”

“You won’t have to register?” Tubbs father replied.

“I won’t have to do none of that,” the sex offender replied.

When asked, “So what are they going to do to you then?” Tubbs laughed and answered, “Nothing.”

Tubbs also discussed the plan to identify as a woman, urging the caller to use female pronouns in court.

“So now they’re going to put me with other trannies that have seen their cases like mine or with one tranny like me that has a case like mine,” Tubbs said. “So when you come to court, make sure you address me as her.”

Gascon’s office claimed in a statement that his office had only been made aware of Tubbs’ comments after sentencing, but Fox News reported that sources told them prosecutors were well aware of the recordings beforehand.

“The things he did to me and made me do that day was beyond horrible for a ten-year-old girl to have to go through,” Tubbs’ victim told Fox News. “I want him tried as an adult for the crimes he committed against me.”

“I’ve also heard that my attacker goes by she/them pronouns now,” she said. “I see it also unfair to try him as a woman as well, seeing how he clearly didn’t act like one on January 1st of 2014.”
