Last week, a Twitter user shared the heartbreaking obituary of a young mother and wife who died after taking the COVID-19 vaccine, which she had initially been opposed to doing.
The obituary quickly went viral — and Twitter appeared to just as quickly flag it as “misleading.”
The bereaved description of Jessica Wilson’s life explained that the “exceptionally healthy and vibrant” wife and mother passed away suddenly on September 7 due to COVID-19 Vaccine-Induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia (VITT).
“Jessica’s greatest passion was to be the best mother possible for Bridget and Clara. Nothing would stand in her way to be present in their lives,” the obituary explained. “During the last weeks of her life, however, the world turned dark with heavy-handed vaccine mandates. Local and state governments were determined to strip away her right to consult her wisdom and enjoy her freedom.”
“She had been vehemently opposed to taking the vaccine, knowing she was in good health and of a young age and thus not at risk for serious illness. In her mind, the known and unknown risks of the unproven vaccine were more of a threat,” it continued. “But, slowly, day by day, her freedom to choose was stripped away. Her passion to be actively involved in her children’s education—which included being a Room Mom—was, once again, blocked by government mandate. Ultimately, those who closed doors and separated mothers from their children prevailed. It cost Jessica her life.”
Seattle, WA — Jessica Berg Wilson, an "exceptionally healthy and vibrant 37-year-old young mother with no underlying health conditions," passed away from COVID Vaccine-Induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia. She did not want to get vaccinated. 😥

According to The Daily Mail, when Twitter user Kelly Bee initially shared the devastating obituary, it was flagged as “misleading” and linked to an article explaining why “health officials consider COVID-19 vaccines safe for most people.”
The outlet also claimed that the viral tweet was subsequently “shadow banned,” meaning its visibility was suppressed despite its broad reach.
As of Wednesday morning, the original tweet had nonetheless be shared over 11K times.
Twitter later purportedly removed the flag after widespread backlash for censoring an obituary of a young, healthy woman who died after being administered the COVID-19 vaccine.
