Well, we could have told you that.
Elizabeth Johnston, the Activist Mommy, has been one of the few voices out there who has been bold enough to call the organization Black Lives Matter out for their radical, far-left Marxist views.
She affirms, as we all do here at Activist Mommy, that black lives do matter, and that racism is clearly a sin.
But the group that has co-oped this life-affirming phrase for their name has a distinct political ideology that Christians need to be made aware of.

The organization Black Lives Matter has been quite forthcoming about their ideology, as illustrated in a recently unearthed video in which co-founder Patrisse Cullors bluntly said that they are “trained Marxists.”
“I think of a lot of things: The first thing I think of is that we actually do have an ideology frame,” she said in an interview with The Real News Network in 2015.
“Myself and Alicia [Garza], in particular, are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super versed on ideological theories, and I think what we really try to do is build a movement that can be utilized by many, many black folk,” she continued.

And while fighting racism and bigotry is a bipartisan concern, the group is also overtly partisan, as Cullors admitted this week, telling CNN’s Jake Tapper bluntly that their goal is “to get Trump out.”

This is not a movement dedicated simply to promoting the value of black lives. If that were the case, they would certainly advocate for defunding Planned Parenthood, would they not?
As National File recently reported, Black Lives Matter is bankrolled heavily by George Soros and Clinton-linked foundations, which we don’t have to tell you are definitively left-wing.
In 2016, organizations in the Black Lives Matter movement received $33 million in grants from the Open Society Foundations, founded by Hungarian hedge fund manager George Soros in 1993, and the Center for American Progress, founded by former White House chief of staff and Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta in 2003.
The Washington Times reported that, in 2016, the Black Lives Matter coalition raised over $100 million from a series of wealthy liberal foundations including The Ford Foundation, in addition to $33 million in grants from the Open Society Foundations, with additional grant-making from the Center for American Progress.
PolitiFact notes that Open Society Foundations previously condemned violence, and claims that Open Society Foundations reiterated this regarding the recent unrest in emails.
The same entities donating heavily to the Democrat party and anti-life, racist organizations like Planned Parenthood are funding Black Lives Matter, while their members are open about their radical Marxist views.
