You’ve likely seen him on social media, and now, the famous 11-year-old drag queen is gracing the airwaves of popular daytime television show “Good Morning America.”
In yet another indication that cross-dressing and the LGBT lifestyle are beyond normalized in our culture, “Desmond is Amazing,” was a guest on the long-running ABC morning show, where he was surprised by some of America’s most famous drag queens.
LGBT Nation reports:
Drag kid Desmond Is Amazing appeared on ABC’s GMA Day this week.
The 11-year-old walked out in a yellow dress, a white faux-fur coat, and a brown wig. She worked the runway and did a very safe death drop.
Then three of America’s best-known drag queens – Hedda Lettuce, Shannel, and Alyssa Edwards – came out to meet Desmond Is Amazing, bearing gifts.
Much like the now-notorious “Drag Queen Story Hour” events that are sweeping our nation, glorifying young drag artists is another creepy way in which it has become completely acceptable to expose children to very adult activities.
Drag queens are, and always have been, typical features of adult entertainment venues, and the culture surrounding drag performing is shrouded with overt sexuality.
All cross-dressing aside, drag culture is nothing children should be integrated into, but clearly, those in the entertainment industry think it’s “cute” to see a little boy take on the gender-bending characteristics of men who typically appear on the stages of strip clubs and bars.
This is absolutely not OK.
