No matter what you think of President Trump, it’s hard to argue with the fact that he has, quite surprisingly, kept a number of his key campaign promises and appears to be fully dedicated to staying on this path.
After a number of disappointments from a Congress that fails to end the millions of dollars of taxpayer dollars we fork over to Planned Parenthood each year, the Trump administration announced last week it has a new plan to try to block at least some of the funding to the abortion mill.
While nothing short of complete abolition would truly be satisfying, at the very least, the American taxpayers deserve to have their money spent elsewhere, but the WNBA clearly disagrees.
You may be surprised to learn that the WNBA is still around, but it is, and it’s clearly as left-leaning as other sports organizations like the NFL who shamelessly bow to the left-wing agenda in spite of the fans who fill the seats of their stadiums.
Well, whoever is still filling the seats in WNBA stadiums will soon be contributing to Planned Parenthood and other left-leaning “women’s health” organizations, the association announced last week.

In an announcement on Wednesday, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) said it is rolling out a “new women and girls empowerment program” for the 2018 season — “Take a Seat, Take a Stand.” The chronically low number of fans who purchase tickets will “have the chance to support several organizations that are changing the game for women and girls,” including abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood, which aborts thousands of girls out of existence every year.
The organization selected will be given $5 for every ticket purchased. And just to show how truly left-wing this “charity” push actually is, the WNBA announced the program on Twitter along with video from the Women’s March.
“This season, your tickets support more than women’s basketball,” the video stressed. “It supports women.”
WNBA president Lisa Borders said the program elevates the voices of their players to join in the women’s movement.
“For 22 years, the WNBA and its players – women playing at the highest level of their sport – have stood up as role models for millions of women and girls,” Borders said. “We are proud to come together as a league to stand with our partner organizations, our fans and the many inspiring women raising their voices for change in the current women’s movement.”
Right–because nothing says women’s empowerment like dehumanizing preborn women and turning wombs into graves.
It’s easy to say one should just boycott the WNBA, but we need to wake up and realize this is just symptomatic of a much larger acceptance of abortion across our culture. For something as mainstream–however unpopular–as the WNBA to openly support the murder of unborn children just goes to show how far our culture of death has gone.
We need to pray for this nation, saints, and for the barbaric practice of abortion to come to an end once and for all.
