You Won’t Believe This Amazing Act Of Generosity In Houston

While the mainstream media decided to focus on Melania Trump’s choice of shoes, a Houston bakery’s act of kindness during Hurricane Harvey was one of the most remarkable and largely unheard stories to come out of the chaos.

When the owners and employees of El Bolillo found themselves stuck at work due to flooding, they decided to spend their time baking bread for fellow victims.

Hundreds of loaves of pan dolce bread.

The owners of El Bolillo, Kirk Michaelis and Bud Harman, told friends that the bakery was “closed until further notice, but our bakers cooked all night long and we will be prepared to help as soon as we can with bread.”

Kirk and Bud have been in business since 1998 and in that time have built up quite a reputation for the Mexican sweet bread known as “el bolillo” (also a slang term for white boy).

As word spread about their generosity, El Bolillo has won many new fans.

At a time when so much negativity abounds in the news, the generosity of the owners and employees of El Bolillo is a breath of fresh air.
